Protobot .. this beast was created to test concepts, parts and software for robots. Thats why it is quiet big and has space for a breadboard on top. It is powered by a couple of very old modified servos from which the electronics was removed.
With the solar panel it has just enough power in the sun to run at about 10 cm/sec, but thats with 3V .. which wasn't enough for the basic stamp. So it ran in a pretty dumb mode.
