The SX is the fastest 8 bit RISC micro controller around. They are available with clock frequencies from 50-100 Mhz and execute one insctruction per cycle. They have space for 2000 instructions, and 128 bytes of RAM.
To make it possible to program a SX in a breadboard I made a special adapter for the parallax SX-key.
